Rockets Reject For the Win !

Jimmy Douglass (Rocket Reject Jockey) & Ian Wilson (Trainer) at the Carnival of Cups Racing Series Presentation
Horse racing has been around for ages… An example of which is the chariot racing events that the Romans enthusiastically participated in long before we were born.
Racing, however, started in the early years of settlement in Australia. The sport has since then become a favorite pastime. Incidentally, Phar Lap, a New Zealand bred was considered to be the most famous racehorse in the 1920′s. Meanwhile, Paleface Adios made a name duing the 70′s in harness racing. Another racehorse worthy of note is Maybe Diva, a mare bred in the United Kingdom. She was the only racehorse awarded the Melbourne Cup for three consecutive years.
Incidentally, Rockets Reject seems to be well on his way to making a mark in the world of horse racing. Just recently, the 5 year old son of Klingdon Hanover made quite a spectacular win over Captain Joy at Melton. In addition, he has beaten other great horses like Deadsetlucky and Rohan Home at Menangle.
A number of people may have been surprised by Rockets Reject’s dashing performance, but his trainer Ian Wilson, admittedly, is not. According to Wilson, due to Rockets Reject’s competence, the gelding is being eyed to go up against Australia’s best steeds. In addition, Rockets Reject may well be on his way to the best races in the upcoming year if he proves at par with Australia’s best. Incidentally, it seems that a break is in store for the 5-year old gelding. According to his trainer, the break will greatly benefit Rockets Reject. Wilson intends to discuss this matter with Henno, the owner.
On another note, Ian Wilson shares that he sees the potential in stable driver Jimmy Douglas. After all, Douglas just needs 12 more wins for the milestone of driving 100 winners. In addition, their stable it seems is handling more or less 25 horses and most of them are racing. Hence, there are plenty of opportunities for Douglas to meet the 100 winners mark.
