Star Names Entered for Supreme, Baring Bingham, Albert Bartlett Novice Hurdles, and Triumph at Racing Post
Patrick Mullins, assistant to Willie Mullins, was pleased with the performance of Mystical Power, a son of the yard’s Champion Hurdle heroine Annie Power, at Punchestown but thinks the Closutton camp will know more about their novice plans at Cheltenham following next week’s Dublin Racing Festival. He said: “Mystical Power was very impressive at Punchestown and seems to be improving with every run, like his mother did. He would look an ideal candidate for the race. They are both available at 8-1 but have been handed the Baring Bingham option in addition to the Albert Bartlett.
Racing Post has gathered the best offers for all four races. However, entries are down for all four races, with a record-low for the Triumph hurdle. Fans are wondering what Willie Mullins will do with his 29 Baring Bingham entries, while JP McManus has an embarrassment of novice hurdle riches with an entry that has caught attention. Barry Connell is also living the dream with Marine Nationale. David Jennings and Stuart Riley discuss the big novice chase entries and pick the bones out of the talking points at Cheltenham.
