The rider had a remarkable day at the Irish Arkle on Saturday, achieving a swift Grade 1 treble. All three winners were seemingly second and third choices trained by his uncle Willie. This success added to the rider’s treble at the festival last year, where the final leg was provided by Il Etait Temps in the 2m Grade 1 novice hurdle.

The pair secured another victory at the highest level in a thrilling race as the six-year-old managed to catch and overtake Found A Fifty, trained by Gordon Elliott, to win by a neck.
