Aintree Thursday: Latest News and Updates
The Merseyside track received 1.2 millimetres of rain overnight. This has kept the conditions on the testing side for the three-day festival, with a total of 45.2 millimetres of rain hitting the course since last Wednesday.
Clerk of the course Sulekha Varma mentioned on Thursday morning that the track was quite blustery yesterday evening, which helped to dry the surface a touch. However, there was some rain overnight which has kept the going the same.
Varma also mentioned that a predominantly dry day was forecast for today, with the possibility of a light shower during the day. Nevertheless, it is more unlikely than likely, with showers forecasted for tonight.
She expressed confidence that the horses would get through the ground fine today. To conclude, it was noted that Racing Post has the best offers, all in one place.
