Ballydoyle prepares to unleash 1,250,000gns Book 1 buy, half-brother to Group 1 winner
The colt being discussed is a half-brother to seven winners, including the notable Group 1 Commonwealth Cup victor Golden Horde. MV Magnier and Peter Brant’s White Birch Farm secured him for 1,250,000gns at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale.
The dam, Entreat, did not achieve significant success on the track, with her lone victory occurring at Folkestone. She was subsequently sold for a modest 14,000gns at the July Sale in 2016.
However, her prowess in the breeding paddocks is evident, with her offspring including Group 1 winner Golden Horde and Listed winners Line Of Departure and Exhort. Camille Pissarro is her ninth foal and is described as a striking specimen.
He is the second foal of Too Precious, resulting in a half-sibling relationship with last year’s Cheveley Park Stakes winner Porta Fortuna. Additionally, Camille Pissarro is by Caravaggio.
