Can Narkez create potential European Classic match-ups and secure another Feilden victory for Andre Fabre?
In 2013, Fabre’s horse Intello won the Feilden Stakes, finished third in the Poule d’Essai des Poulains, and won the Prix du Jockey Club. Narkez, another horse trained by Fabre for owner-breeder Nurlan Bizakov, holds entries in both of those races. Fabre expressed confidence in Narkez’s form since winning at Saint-Cloud, stating that the different ground is not a concern and the extra furlong will be beneficial due to the horse’s staying pedigree on the dam’s side.
El Cordobes, previously bought privately by Godolphin, won on his second start at Kempton following his debut effort. Although the form of that race may not be the strongest, El Cordobes holds an entry in the Group 2 Dante Stakes at York next month. Trainer Charlie Appleby aims to determine the horse’s standing among his three-year-olds, commenting that he has been pleased with El Cordobes going into the race.
Appleby believes that El Cordobes stays well and has the potential to cover much further distances in the future, indicating that the race at Kempton serves as a suitable starting point for the horse.
