Contenders for the 2,000 and 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket this weekend.
The top contenders for the upcoming weekend’s horse racing contests have been confirmed, with Ancient Wisdom and Al Musmak not included in the 2,000 Guineas despite their previous achievements. Meanwhile, Aidan O’Brien is looking to secure his 11th victory in the 2,000 Guineas with his four-horse team, led by City Of Troy, last year’s unbeaten juvenile and the likely favorite for the Classic. In the 1,000 Guineas, O’Brien’s Ylang Ylang has been competing for favoritism following the withdrawal of Opera Singer due to a training setback.
Other notable entries include Fallen Angel, who recently completed a strong gallop on the Rowley Mile, and Dance Sequence, who finished behind Pretty Crystal in the Nell Gwyn.
