Train Commuters
Four Winners Across Four Countries in Five Days Leaves Me Incredibly Proud of My Father
We are a diverse group riding the train; some are headed to work, engrossed in their phones, while others appear to be returning home, lost in each other’s gazes. Among us is a man clad entirely in black – boots, jeans, leather jacket, hat, shades, and even a curly black moustache. He may find me, with my saddle and stick, the peculiar one, as he glances my way. Also present is a homeless man, finding solace in the warmth of the train and the company of others, perhaps reminding us of our own fortune.
Such moments prompt us to appreciate our luck.
