Greenham Stakes at Newbury: Confirmed Runners and Riders in Racing Post.
The Ralph Beckett-trained three-year-old had a successful season last year, winning three times over seven furlongs under Rob Hornby. In its most recent appearance, the horse secured a victory in the Listed Prix Herod at Saint-Cloud in November. Some potential rivals for this horse include Army Ethos, which finished a neck behind River Tiber in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot, and the Wathnan Racing-owned Ballymount Boy and Mister Sketch.
Room Service, the winner of the Weatherbys Scientific £300,000 2-Y-O Stakes at Doncaster on its final start last season, and the Karl Burke-trained Alaskan Gold also remain in contention. However, not all Craven runners are in the mix, with Native Approach and Haatem, as well as the Aidan O’Brien-trained Henry Adams and God’s Window, not being declared for the upcoming event. Last year’s line-up included Chaldean, who had an eventful start but later won the Qipco 2,000 Guineas for Andrew Balding.
The upcoming race promises to be a competitive event with some strong contenders in the mix, setting the stage for an exciting competition.
