Pretty Crystal, Nell Gwyn heroine, set to be added to Classic after winning 1,000 Guineas.
The daughter of Dubawi, with an initial odds of 12-1 for the Classic on May 5, was not expected to be added to the field after triumphing over Dance Sequence on the Rowley Mile. However, she is now set to be supplemented on April 29 at a cost of £30,000.
Philip Robinson, the racing manager to owner Sheikh Rashid Dalmook Al Maktoum, explained that after recent discussions with the owner, it is highly likely that Pretty Crystal will be supplemented for the 1,000 Guineas. Robinson also mentioned that there is only one 1,000 Guineas and Pretty Crystal is not entered in anything else, so she might as well go back to Newmarket.
He added that it was not surprising that she won, as she has always been well-liked and had been close to winning in the past. Racing Post has the best offers, all in one place.
