No changes to Punchestown conditions; rain expected before Thursday’s card
This morning, on the back straight, Brendan Sheridan, the clerk of the course at the track, reported that the ground conditions remained consistent. He stated that the ground is yielding, with some areas being good to yielding on both tracks. He mentioned that his conversation with Met Eireann revealed that the day is expected to be mainly dry with the chance of passing showers.
However, there is a forecast for more persistent rain moving in tonight, along with the possibility of receiving 5-10mm of rain. Sheridan also spoke about the fresh ground on both tracks, noting that there are seven yards on the hurdle track and six yards up the home straight. Additionally, there is fresh ground of four to five yards on the chase track.
He provided updates on the weather and track conditions for the upcoming races. For the best offers on racing, users can visit Racing Post, where all the offers can be found in one place.
