“I Spent Two Years Dwelling on a Dark Place, Blaming Myself Every Day – Racing Post Interview”

The speaker was in a dark place for two years, thinking about something every single day. Above the cistern, there are pictures of the person in different situations – one with mud-splattered face and another in a stylish black and white photo, in the Fontwell weighing room with several colleagues assumed to be close friends. Among these pictures is a framed print titled “Paddy loves . . .”

The list in the print includes items that need no explanation, such as his wife Lindsey topping the list, followed by “winning races”, “horses” including his Ryanair and Gold Cup winner Imperial Commander, and his home county of Galway. Other entries are “friends and family”, “farm”, and “his iPad” which raises a chuckle.
