Imac Wood secures feature handicap chase as Deborah Cole maintains winning form in Racing Post

Cole’s horse, Imac Wood, emerged as the market leader and triumphed over his rivals in a race where long-time leader Ballybeen faltered. Ballybeen veered off course to the left, allowing Imac Wood to seize the opportunity and pass him on the inside rail as they turned for home. This win marked Cole’s second consecutive victory and provided a quick return on her recent investment in her yard at Knowle, where she houses 18 horses.

Cole expressed her satisfaction with the recent addition of a new all-weather track at her yard, which spans a mile. This new track complements their existing sand facility and is already proving to be a wise investment. Regarding Imac Wood, Cole described him as a special horse, as demonstrated by his performance in the race. However, she did not disclose any specific future plans for him.

Imac Wood started at odds of 11-2 and gradually gained momentum throughout the race. By the time they reached the home turn, he was in a favorable position to make a move and managed to overtake the front-runner, Glance From Clover, on the final stretch. Crystal Moon, another horse in the race, had previously achieved a third-place finish in his comeback race at Doncaster and displayed potential for future performances.
