Experiencing the disappointment in someone else’s face when their anticipation of a happy event is dashed can be disheartening. Additionally, there have been instances where I’ve observed promising ante-post prices for horses, only to see their odds shorten dramatically as the event approached. This has taught me not to count on a sure victory, as unforeseen outcomes often defy expectations.
