Theleme, a French ace, forced to withdraw from Stayers’ Hurdle due to setback, as reported by Racing Post

Le Metayer, representing the Gordon Family, expressed their desire to have the horse arrive at Cheltenham in optimal condition. They expressed concern over the horse’s current lameness and the potential for further damage if rushed back. However, they remain hopeful that the horse will recover in time for the spring in France and haven’t given up on the idea of participating in Cheltenham.

The decision to prepare for Cheltenham was made after Theleme’s second Grand Prix d’Automne win at Auteuil in November. Le Metayer stated that Theleme had achieved all that was possible in France and was now setting sights on the festival. Theleme races in memory of the late Jim Gordon, and his children have continued the family’s racing tradition to honor their father.

The first three payments for the subscription will be charged at £19.98, with the full monthly price applying thereafter.
