Liam Headd’s three horse racing tips at Catterick on Monday
The seven-year-old has shown consistent performance, finishing in the top three in five out of seven starts. He claimed his second victory at Sedgefield in November.
Following a break, he finished fourth at Aintree and then third at Sedgefield. The latter race has proven strong as the second-place horse has also scored since.
With versatility in different ground conditions, he is expected to perform well. Micro Millions, the seven-year-old, will be venturing into a 3m1½f race for the first time.
However, his previous impressive victory in a point-to-point over 3m in April indicates that he should handle the stamina test. Showing improvement in his first two starts, he pulled up on his handicap debut at Ascot last time but has since had a good break.
El Jefe, another seven-year-old, has displayed solid performance on soft ground. With a track record of finishing second once and third twice, he is in top form and is anticipated to succeed under regular rider Conor Rabbitt.
