Nicky Henderson gana apelación ya que se revoca la decisión de los comisarios de Lingfield de relegar al ganador

The mare’s unbeaten record has been restored by an appeals panel, ruling that the interference with Ooh Betty may not have affected the result. The panel chair, Philippa Charles, explained that there was little loss of momentum by Ooh Betty and it was difficult to determine if Ooh Betty would have finished in front of the interferer. Eleven days earlier, the Lingfield stewards had ruled that Aston Martini bumped Ooh Betty due to a left-handed movement under a right-hand drive, resulting in Ooh Betty becoming unbalanced and racing tight against the rail. However, the solicitor Rory Mac Neice pointed out that the impact had been referred to as “a little bump” and Bowen, the rider of Aston Martini, claimed his horse had also suffered from the collision and would have won by half a length if no contact had occurred.

Bowen felt aggrieved by his suspension for careless riding and believed he should have received no more than a caution for the incident.
