Nicky Henderson optimistic about star chaser Shishkin’s preparation for Newbury outing, saying ‘He looked very sharp’

Shishkin, officially Britain’s best chaser with a rating of 173, is set to run in the familiar yellow and black colors of Joe and Marie Donnelly. He is currently priced at 9-1 for the Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup next month. His upcoming race before the festival is the Betfair Denman Chase at Newbury.

The ten-year-old will aim to bounce back after unseating Nico de Boinville in the King George VI Chase.
