The Mares’ Hurdle at Cheltenham is not the issue – it’s actually helping to cover up the problems

In the past, I used to tip horses every day, but that was in a different era when Teletext was the latest technology. I will refrain from sharing my predictions for the Cheltenham Festival or analyzing the action from last weekend’s Dublin Racing Festival.

However, I do have a strong opinion about one race at Cheltenham: the Close Brothers Mares’ Hurdle. My opinion is not about which horse will win the race in March, but rather about the race’s significance at the festival and in the broader racing calendar.
