150 people attend Southwell’s Premier raceday, with hopes of full crowds returning in the summer.

As the racing season progresses, normal service is expected to resume this summer. Mark Clayton, the executive director, expressed his hope to finish the ongoing project during the gap between the June 11 and July 29 fixtures.

However, he emphasized that nothing is certain, but that is their goal. Currently, the venue allows 150 racegoers.

Clayton outlined the remaining work to be done, citing that the weighing room, offices, stable staff accommodation, and syndicate lounge are nearly completed and should be ready for the first June meeting. He also mentioned the upcoming busy schedule in August, which includes events such as Advertiser ladies’ day, family fun day, and the last night of the Racing League.

Regarding ticketing and promotions, Racing Post is offering the best deals, consolidating them in one place.
