The clerk of the course, Sulekha Varma, conducted a thorough investigation into a race incident. The incident involved the fourth fatality in three years, as one of the five horses fell at the first fence in 2023. Following the investigation, several changes were implemented. These changes included reducing the size of the field, moving the first fence closer to the start, and rescheduling the race to 4pm instead of 5.15pm.
