Danielle’s Dominant Victory Puts Her in Contention for the Oaks at Gosdens
The likes of Rogue Millennium and Fanny Logan have previously won this contest before going on to secure victories at Group level. Robert Havlin’s mount cruised through the race, showcasing great potential by winning with a 12-length lead. The horse, a daughter of Cracksman and owned by Anthony Oppenheimer, achieved her third career victory and may now move on to participate in an Oaks trial.
Havlin expressed his thoughts to Racing TV, stating that the horse has shown improvement since her last race, where she was overtaken by a filly who had been active earlier in the season. He mentioned that the previous race was a good starting point for her and that she had a good blow after the race, indicating that she was likely to significantly improve on turf. He also mentioned that she is expected to have no trouble in staying a mile and a half, with his employer likely to aim for races of that distance.
Havlin expressed hope for the horse’s continuous improvement and mentioned that they would assess her condition following the race. He noted that the horse had what seemed to be a tougher race in her previous outing at Chelmsford, but performed much better in terms of pace. He concluded by saying that she has made significant progress.
Danielle is among six fillies from the Gosden yard that have been entered for the Oaks, with only Fred Darling runner-up Regal Jubilee having shorter odds. The Racing Post is the place where the best offers can be found, all conveniently in one location.
