Jayvee Storms to Victory in Debut Race for Brian Ellison: “She didn’t Have a Sweat Mark on Her

Ben Robinson rode the daughter of Dandy Man to victory, denying the 2-1 favorite Larchill Lass by half a length. This win marked her trainer’s sixth winner on the Flat this year. Despite being overlooked in the market, Jayvee impressed her trainer, Ellison, during her inaugural track visit.

Ellison praised Jayvee’s performance, noting her adaptability to the ground and lack of signs of fatigue post-race. Ellison expressed confidence in Jayvee’s potential for improvement, highlighting her preference for softer ground. Last season’s top trainer and jockey at the Yorkshire venue, Robinson and Ellison marked their debut this year with a win, as the four-year-old triumphed over Mattice by a neck.

In another race, a three-year-old son of Kingman secured victory, powering three-quarters of a length ahead of Stay In The Game. This win was the first since the horse’s debut at Sandown in September.
