Lucinda Russell hopes Inis Oirr will propel her to success in the Scottish Grand National.

The seven-year-old horse beat Enrilo by 21 lengths in the Edinburgh National in February. However, he missed the Midlands National due to heavy ground. Despite this setback, he is entered in the bet365 Gold Cup.

His trainer’s main focus, though, is targeting Ayr’s £200,000 marathon contest, where he is currently as short as 12-1. In the early market, Macdermott is the frontrunner for the British trainers’ championship leader Willie Mullins. Mullins is responsible for six of the 36 current entries.
