Nico de Boinville earns praise for ‘remarkable’ win as Fantastic Lady triumphs in Grade 2 race

The nine-year-old mare put on an impressive winning performance in the Grade 2 under jockey Nico de Boinville. Trainer Henderson praised the mare’s remarkable ability and her quick return from Aintree.

Fantastic Lady, owned and bred by Evan Hanbury, is likely to return to the Grand National fences after her sixth-place finish in the Topham. Meanwhile, Mullins celebrated his success in Britain and looked forward to seeing his horse’s potential over fences.

The well-supported Maasai Mara faced difficulties in the race, with stewards unable to deem him a non-runner due to a technicality in the rules. Despite this, the victory went to 14-1 chance Helnwein, described as a promising chaser by trainer Alan King.
