Peslier, a four-time champion jockey in France and a winner of the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe on four occasions, is set to take two mounts at La Teste in the south-west of France, marking the end of a successful career. Throughout his tenure, he has achieved significant international success, securing victories in prestigious races such as the Derby, the Japan Cup, and the Breeders’ Cup. Peslier reflected on his career, stating that he has accumulated over 3,700 victories worldwide, including 502 Group race wins, with 165 of those being Group 1s, including victories in Arabian races. He shared with the Racing Post, “Like everyone, my turn has arrived.

I’m a tiny bit younger than [Frankie] Dettori and I’ll be stopping just before him.”
