Punchestown Gold Cup: Confirmed Runners and Riders for Wednesday’s Race

The horse Fasterslow surprised as a 20-1 outsider in the Grade 1 race last season, outpacing the 4-11 favorite Galopin Des Champs, trained by Willie Mullins. Fasterslow defeated Galopin Des Champs again in the John Durkan race at Punchestown in November and finished behind him in the Irish Gold Cup.

However, their fortunes reversed in the recent Cheltenham Gold Cup, with Fasterslow unseating its jockey and Galopin Des Champs securing consecutive victories.
