Rod Millman Hopes Twisted Tiara Brings Confidence Boost Racing Post Group-Race Drought at Ascot
The daughter of Ribchester showed improvement from her previous fifth-place finish on debut, as she finished strongly to win by a length and a quarter under the guidance of jockey David Probert. This victory marked the 15th win for the Devon trainer so far this year, aiming to surpass the 43 wins achieved last season. In reflecting on the achievement, the trainer expressed, “We’ve made a really good start to the season. Last year was our best, so it’d be great to try to beat that.
We’ve got a nice team of mostly handicappers, but we have ten two-year-olds and hopefully one of them will turn out okay.” Regarding the specific race, he commented, “Twisted Tiara is quite a nice filly. It wasn’t the most competitive race, but it’s a nice stepping stone. We’ll probably look for another novice as she just needs a bit of experience.”
Looking ahead, the trainer expressed anticipation for the upcoming event at Ascot, highlighting the appeal of the offers available from Racing Post.
