Rachael Blackmore recauda £150,000 en la campaña de Betfair para organizaciones benéficas de carreras y espera aumentar el fondo en el Festival de Carreras de Dublín
Rachael Blackmore, an ambassador for Betfair racing, has committed to adding £5,000 to the fund for every winner she achieves this season. So far, £150,000 has been raised for the Injured Jockeys Fund (IJF) and the Irish Injured Jockeys. Betfair initiated this charity challenge in late November with an initial donation of £100,000, and it will continue until Grand National day, with a maximum fund target of £250,000.
To gain insight into the work being carried out by the IJF, Betfair tipster Daryl Carter visited Oaksey House in Lambourn. This facility provides coaching, rehabilitation, and on-site accommodation for long-term treatment. One of the residents, Wayne Burton, suffered a complete spinal cord injury from a fall at Exeter in 2008 and is now preparing to participate in the London Marathon in April.
Charlotte Booth, chief commercial officer for Betfair, expressed admiration for the work being done at the Lambourn Centre by the IJF and its dedicated team. She noted the incredible support provided and highlighted that with each victory Rachael achieves, the fund will continue to grow.
