Nicky Henderson confirms Sandown plan for Jonbon as El Fabiolo clash finally looks on

El Fabiolo is one of five Closutton entries in the final Grade 1 of the jumps season. Mullins aims to secure the British trainers’ championship, where he is heavily favored as 1-66 in betting with Coral. Henderson mentioned being given encouragement by other title contenders to run Jonbon this weekend.

The trainer had thought about taking the six-time Grade 1 winner to Punchestown but decided to have the eight-year-old avenge his 2023 Arkle defeat by El Fabiolo. This will mark their first clash since March last year.
